Spirituality and being you
Being spiritual is not about spending hours every day in meditation. Spirituality looks much different than most people think. Spirituality is BEING who you are and sharing YOU with the world. Good examples of famous spiritual people are Steven Tyler, Mother Theresa, Chaz Bono. These and all others who live to just be themselves. By being themselves, they bring joy to the world. Every time you are being yourself, you bring joy to the world. When you make peace with who you are, you bring peace to the whole world. Just be yourself. That is all. Spirituality is about letting your light so shine. Don’t hide it under a bushel. Discover what things you are passionate about, and go for it. If your passion includes meditation all day, then do that. Don’t be put off by what others may say about you. By living your life only to please others, you are detracting from the world. By focusing on you and being the best YOU possible, you are blessing the world. By being the best YOU possible, you are also giving others permission to just be themselves. Only you know best who YOU are. Just listen to your own feelings. Do you feel good about it? Or are you only doing something because you think others want it? Pay attention to your feelings. And always remember, have fun in everything you do. 3/2/2012
