A little history of my journey so far

Some may wonder why I rely on intuition when I have Sam, my spirit guide. Well, Sam does not readily hand out information.  As I have ideas, I am able to talk things over with him, but he doesn't just give out advice on what I should or shouldn't do. Everything that happens in my life still comes about because of my choices.

My ideas come from reading books, watching movies, listening to the radio, etc. - and anything else that strikes me in my daily life.

Sometimes I solve problems by simply imagining I already know the answer. And within a day or two, I have the answer.

Other times, I give myself a choice, then quickly answer with whatever comes to mind.  I follow through with whatever the quick answer was. Example:  What do you want to wear today - the red or the blue? Whatever pops into my mind first is what I go with. Seems simple, but it works.

I find the more I listen to my inner voice, the greater the flow of information.

Throughout the 80s, I taught exercise and diet classes. It is a good thing I love to read, because I spent every free minute reading anything related to diet and exercise. My classes had lots of questions. I had lots of questions.  There were no clear answers anywhere. There were at least two theories (and usually more) on every subject.

I would share all the different theories with my classes. I told them what I do - use whatever resonates most with me - and encouraged them to do the same. I was basically telling them to follow their intuition.

But how did I get so far away from listening to my intuition?  I think it is related to my next career.

I went back to school for another career - healthcare.  In my first career - physical training and recreation - I did get some information on diet and exercise in school, but nothing like during my healthcare training. What I picked up mostly in my healthcare training is Western Medicine is King, and the true experts could be found there. (But these experts still could not agree on much.)

I just put it out of my mind because it was too confusing and, quite frankly, I now had no time to read anything on health, diet or exercise. And I also had no time to diet or exercise. During this stressful time in my life is when my minor weight issues became big issues.

In 2002, I read a book that changed my life - "Remembering Wholeness" by Carol Tuttle. From that book, I have been led to other books, teachers, movies, etc. Since then, I have been able to improve relationships, finances and my spiritual health.  I am now choosing to work on my physical health.

I will be sharing my measurements weekly when I remember.

I am choosing the measurements that are most important to me - temperature, weight and waist size. These were the only abnormal findings during my last medical checkups, so I am choosing to work on these.

I forgot to take my measurements this morning.
